Liz Bulkley has spent her career in a rich variety of media outlets, including public radio, public television and commercial television. She's a broadcaster and journalist with the technical know-how and drive to bring great stories to life on the web.
Liz has hosted regional public radio shows in New Hampshire and national programs out of Boston, and is the recipient of numerous local and national awards. She won a local Emmy for the NBC-TV affiliate in Washington DC for a one-hour television special she wrote and produced on Aging. The National Commission on Working Women awarded Liz first place for a public television segment she wrote and produced about displaced homemakers. Her television writing and producing credits have earned Silver and Bronze awards from the International Film and Television Festival. Her radio news producing skills have earned her multiple Associated Press awards.
Liz's love of words and her desire to create audio and video that comes across as smooth and unrehearsed as a casual living room conversation has motivated her every step of her career. She has done hundreds of hours of voiceover narrations, including the written works of authors Annie Proulx, Barbara Kingsolver, Alice Munro, and Carol Anshaw for Houghton Mifflin's Best American Short Stories. Her voiceover narrations have also appeared on The Discovery Channel, New Hampshire Public Television and PBS nationwide.
In the course of her career, Liz has contributed to and been associated with NPR, PBS, BBC, NHPR, WBUR-Boston, WGBH, WRNI-Rhode Island, Living on Earth, Marketplace Radio, Voice of America, Monitor Radio, NHPTV, and WRC-TV.
Liz is a member of The Association of Independents in Radio, Women's Business Center New Hampshire, and the Public Radio Exchange.
